Silencing Anna

Silencing Anna tells the story of a young female journalist, blacklisted from all the media houses in the country, after exposing a prominent tycoon’s clandestine activities.

Kihoto Ndegwa uses his advertising millions to arm-twist editors and media owners into only publishing PR stories about him and killing negative ones in a classic illustration of media capture.

Anna struggles to keep her integrity in an often corrupt newsroom atmosphere while suffering depression and losing her faith in God.

When a whistle blower gives her the chance to bring Ndegwa down, Anna takes him on again despite her fear. The resulting drama moves quickly through the streets of Nairobi, the port of Mombasa, the Indian Ocean and ultimately into the wilderness of Tsavo East National Park where Anna faces her greatest test.

An elephant rescued from the wild after poachers killed its mother holds the key to Anna’s survival. Can she be saved before it’s too late? A final heart-breaking twist ends this fast-paced thriller that you won’t want to put down for even one minute..

Duel in the Savanna

The ripple effect spreads far and wide as family, friends, business associates, political allies – all get dragged into the fray…

The love affair between Tony Karenga, rich spoilt son of the patriarch and Sophie Gitwana, a girl from the other side of the tracks – daughter of a dirt poor single mother, is not spared either…

The Unbroken Spirit

Three inseparable friends…young, savvy, ambitious, and in control of their lives.
Tessa has the perfect job, everything she ever wanted. Toni runs a successful restaurant and Regina the party girl is living life to the full, always on edge and loving every minute.
Then it starts to unravel…

Tessa’s boss makes a pass at her sparking off a sequence of events that will severely test her professional skills, personal friendships and shake her faith to its very foundation.

What started out as just another party turns into Regina’s worst nightmare. A call for help in the middle of the night goes unheeded…then the mystery deepens when she wakes up the next morning with no recollection of what happened the night before…

The aftermath of that night sucks in everybody Regina loves, as the three friends join forces, embarking on a frantic hunt for clues to help them put Regina’s assailant behind bars.

As the mystery unfolds, the trio pit their wits against a faceless, powerful enemy who is determined to stop at nothing to conceal the truth. A shocking medical discovery raises the stakes as the battle threatens to tear them apart and ultimately destroy their very lives.

The Unbroken Spirit is a fast-paced, intelligent thriller…with surprising twists and turns, and in the end, utterly unpredictable…right up to its astonishing conclusion.

A Profile Of Kenyan Entrepreneurs

This book profiles a dozen of Kenya’s most successful entrepreneurs across a variety of industries – manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, ICT, retail, media, and entertainment to name a few.

It is a collection that proves that when there is money to be made, you cannot beat a good entrepreneur no matter how deprived his or her background.

Be inspired by stories that illustrate the triumph of hope over means and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.

Find out how they got to where they are, the pitfalls and challenges along the way and how they made and lost millions. Through their eyes you’ll get a fascinating glimpse into Kenya’s history and the events that shaped business in the colonial, pre and post independence period.

From the building of the Kenya-Uganda railway, state of emergency in 1952 and crackdown on Mau Mau fighters, the coffee boom and policy of Africanisation in the 70s, to the political corruption in the 80s and decline of the Kenyan economy in the 90s, in the first book of its kind, Kenyan entrepreneurs tell it all – the good, the bad and the ugly.

And best of all, a section on tips for aspiring entrepreneurs where they tell you how to achieve their level of success. This is a book you won’t want to put down.

Kenya’s Tax Czar

As many of you know, I help other people tell their stories by ghost writing their memoirs. My latest project is Kenya’s Tax Czar, the autobiography of M.G. Waweru, the former Commissioner General of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).

His tenure was 2003-2012 during the presidency of His Excellency Mwai Kibaki, Kenya’s third president.

He is one of the 29 founder members of TransCentury, arguably Kenya’s most successful chama (group investing) with interests across the region. M.G. Waweru is the Chairman of the flagship business in the group, East African Cables Limited.

He is also a successful entrepreneur with investments in the energy sector, agriculture, transport and real estate.

M.G.’s book was my biggest and most challenging to date and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

My gratitude to him for giving me the opportunity to tell his awesome story and to my publishers East African Educational Publishers (Eaep) for bringing this book to the market.
