Letter from my biggest fan

I decided to kick off my 2019 blogging by sharing an email I got from Sam Geeki, a fan. I love hearing from and getting to know my readers. This particular email blew me away and gave me much needed motivation to keep going at a time when I was feeling particularly discouraged by this writing journey. Thank you Sam!

Hi, I came across your blog not too long ago, read through most of your posts then I finalized by downloading your book Duel in the Savannah

Quite frankly, I didn’t take a break longer than two glasses of water because I felt like the story could run away

It was incredibly breath taking. Your writing is crisp too. It reeks of superb talent and heavy thoughtfulness. Actually, there’s no way I was going to get mean with it and so I was left to share it with a few friends (Did I infringe any rights here?)

So later I got curious about you and went to a local online bookstore that seems to be doing well in promoting African fiction, started by a young writer who felt the need to bridge the gap between readers like us passionate about African fiction and writers like you whom we hardly hear of unless we dig you up in the depths of the web. I searched you and sadly I didn’t find you there.

I feel like I should grab everyone by their throats and make them read you and on that said platform [http://books.magunga.com] I see that chance just as high. Please, I beseech you, just get that book and those others by you in there. The continent and world at large needs to hear you.

High Five from Your most loyal and ardent fan.

You too can enjoy Duel in the Savanna. Click here to read the chapters online or download a Pdf of the novel. Wondering why I didn’t publish this book? This article I penned for Business Daily explains my reasons.

Check out my award winning first novel, The Unbroken Spirit. I did get it on Magunga (now Rugano Books). Click here for details about my other book, A Profile of Kenyan Entrepreneurs.

My third novel Silencing Anna will be out soon. Keep checking regularly for more details. Do leave a comment below, I would love to hear from you.

Have a super fruitful and happy 2019!
