I have never read such a captivating book by a Kenyan author. I have to say that your book really inspired me. My favourite authors are J.K. Rowling and Roald Dahl and I see myself adding you to the list.
— Maria Denise Yala, Buruburu Girls Secondary School

“The Unbroken Spirit” is an impressive story, particularly in the way it seeks to address some social ills in the contemporary Kenyan society like gender relations and inequalities at places of work; and generally socio-cultural and political corruption. Wanjiru Waithaka’s description is scenic and vivid and her text can evoke strong feelings.
